Best Rainbow: A Handwritten Font for Digital Creativity

I was working on a redesign for a boutique online store that sells handmade stationery and creative tools. The client wanted the site to feel warm, approachable, and visually engaging. After exploring several options, I decided to test Best Rainbow, a cute and quirky handwritten font from Script Amp. It immediately stood out for its friendly, playful energy—something that felt just right for this brand’s personality.

Best Rainbow has a distinct charm with its uneven strokes and soft curves. It reminds me of someone scribbling notes in a journal or doodling in the margins of a notebook. This kind of imperfection gives it a human touch, making it ideal for brands that want to feel more personal and less corporate.

One of the first places I tested Best Rainbow was in the hero section of the homepage. I placed it over a full-screen image of a hand-painted greeting card. The font looked natural against the texture of the paper, and the text read smoothly without feeling cluttered. It helped guide the viewer’s eye toward the main call-to-action button below.

On mobile screens, readability was a concern. I adjusted the font size and line spacing to ensure that even smaller screens could still read the headlines clearly. The result was a balance between visual appeal and usability—something I always aim for in web design.

For the product listings, I used Best Rainbow sparingly. It worked well as a header for each item, but I avoided using it for longer descriptions. Instead, I paired it with a clean sans serif font like Helvetica Neue for body copy. This combination kept the design cohesive while ensuring that the content remained easy to scan and digest.

The font also added a nice touch to the blog section of the site. I used it for post titles and category headers, which gave the editorial layout a more creative and inviting feel. Readers seemed to engage more with the content when the typography matched the tone of the writing.

When considering where to use Best Rainbow, I found it most effective for short phrases, headings, and decorative accents. It wasn’t suitable for long paragraphs or dense blocks of text, but that’s expected from a display font. Its best applications were in hero sections, banners, call-to-action buttons, and social media graphics.

I also checked the font’s compatibility with different backgrounds. It looked great on both light and dark themes, especially when paired with subtle drop shadows or outlines. These small adjustments helped maintain contrast and legibility across various layouts.

Another thing I appreciated about Best Rainbow was its availability as a webfont. It loaded quickly and didn’t interfere with the site’s performance. This is crucial for any website, especially one that relies on fast loading times to keep users engaged.

Font pairing played a big role in the overall look of the site. I experimented with combining Best Rainbow with a modern sans serif for body text and a classic serif for subheadings. Each combination created a unique visual rhythm that supported the brand’s storytelling.

Before finalizing the design, I made sure to review the font’s licensing details. Since the site would be used for commercial purposes, I confirmed that Best Rainbow had proper commercial use rights. This step is essential for any designer working on client projects or digital products.

In the end, Best Rainbow became a key element in shaping the brand’s identity. It brought warmth and character to the site, helping it stand out in a crowded market. Whether you're designing a portfolio, an online store, or a coaching website, this font can add a personal touch that resonates with your audience.

If you’re looking for a handwritten font that feels both creative and professional, Best Rainbow is definitely worth testing. It’s a versatile option that can elevate your digital design work while keeping your brand’s voice consistent and authentic.
